We are excited to bring you this innovative course, which is a first for the industry! ‘Backstage Bootcamp’ is a 2-day course that will not only develop your core technical skills, but also give you an inside knowledge of the mindset required to succeed in the session world. We have collaborated with session stylist Alfie Sackett, who has years of experience in the industry as former first assistant to the acclaimed Eugene Souleiman. Alfie’s inspirational career path – which has taken him from assisting to signing with the renowned LGA agency – means that he knows exactly what it takes to make it as a session stylist.
With a rapidly growing portfolio, Alfie has worked with prestigious photographers such as Tim Walker, Nick Knight and Nan Goldin, as well as creating publications for Vogue, i-D, Document Journal and AnOther.
This course offers hair professionals the opportunity to learn fundamental techniques that will not only enable you to work successfully backstage at fashion week, but are also the foundations for most editorial looks. This course will provide you with a unique, specialist insight into what it takes to secure a place in the top teams of the session world. Together, Anna and Alfie will prepare you to succeed in any environment.

“I FEEL VERY LUCKY TO HAVE WORKED WITH SUCH AMAZING AND TALENTED HAIRDRESSERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD BY BEING PART OF EUGENE’S TEAM AT FASHION WEEK. I CERTAINLY WOULD NOT BE WHERE I AM TODAY WITHOUT HIS GUIDANCE AND MENTORING FROM A TEAM OF EXPERIENCED STYLISTS. I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET ONTO THE TEAM BUT MANY OTHERS DO NOT GET THE SAME OPPORTUNITY. BEING BACKSTAGE IS FAST PACED, STRESSFUL AND THERE IS NO TIME FOR MISTAKES. I WOULD LIKE TO SHOW PEOPLE THE FUNDAMENTALS, FROM WHAT THEY NEED IN THEIR KIT, RIGHT THROUGH TO THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND VITAL TECHNIQUES TO SURVIVE FASHION WEEK AND WORK ALONGSIDE THE BEST.” - Alfie
